ABOUT HI-TEK TRAINING

Hi-Tek has been in operation since 1993 providing contract training to various organizations, including Canadian Institute of Technology and Snap-On Technical Training Systems. As a contractor, Hi-Tek Training has taught automotive diagnostic courses from Vancouver Island to Prince Edward Island.

As of January 2000 Hi-Tek Training became an independent training institute as a result of automotive technicians contacting the founder (Dave Hurtubise) for quality training in the area of diagnostic troubleshooting for the lower mainland.

In early 2000, Hi-Tek Training met with Lloyd Stamm of the Automotive Retailers Association to discuss the needs of their members for diagnostic training.  We are thankful for the involvement of ARA to endorse and promote our courses to B.C. Technicians.

Hi-Tek Training has grown from it's inception to meet the demands of diagnostic technicians across B.C, and as of January 2002, we have taken our courses into the Alberta area.  This has been met with huge success. By 2003, we started offering courses in Saskatchewan and Ontario.

Hi-Tek Training is also involved with Contract work for larger companies. Starting in September 2004, Hi-Tek Training has started supplying diagnostic training for Lordco Parts customers in the lower mainland. In 2006 Hi-Tek training began supplying training for Dash Distributors in Alberta and Furby Auto Parts in Manitoba.

We are constantly developing new curriculum and updating running courses to meet the demands of the fast changing automotive field.

Courses are not run in a central location but are brought to the technicians in their area of home or work. All courses within the greater Vancouver area and the surrounding lower mainland are held in the evening. Courses outside of those areas are held on the weekends.

Hi-Tek Training courses are taught by diagnostic technicians that have proven themselves to excel in their diagnostic expertise and are still currently working in the Automotive Industry.  Our courses not only provide technical theory but also provide the hands on training needed by Technicians to put the skills taught into practice.  Beyond our instructors diagnostic skills is their ability to convey these proven diagnostic techniques to our customers.
