Hi Mike, Maybe I can jump in here and answer. If there is no cam signal present, the ECM is in limp mode meaning it guesses now which injector to fire first, so there is a 1 in 6 chance of it guessing correctly. According to information I have read, if it does not guess correctly, this decreases engine performance by about 6-8 hp....so unless you're going to the track, I don't think you would notice a difference :) The only time this could cause a drivability problem is if the interrupter was cracked or the sensor had glitches. This would cause an interrupt in the injector sequence and the ECM would start the sequence over. I hope this info helps and I look forward to hearing how you make out. --Jamie
