Hi Dave, We have a 1998 Buick Skylark 3.1 Litre "M" engine Code towed in that had been sitting for 8 Months. Replaced the Battery then did the 10 Minute Anti-theft Deterent Relearn procedure.All went well until a 2nd attempt to restart of the engine would startup for about 4 seconds the stall, next try would result in a long cranking over period start then stall,and sometimes would startup like normal. Scanned for codes results a P1629 Theft Deterent Crank Signal Alldata's has no test procedure to check the 24X crank sensor at the Front Pulley Area.
