Have a 94 firefly 3 cyl 1.0 litre automatic. Gave an almost imperceptible buck on highway and next thing quit. No spark. The cam sensor signal at ecm pins 1 and 9 register when cranking and the ground side of coil at ecm connection has 12 volts but will not toggle when cranked. Have tried 2 different ecms to no avail. When this quit originally after sitting on side of highway for a couple hours, it restarted and made about 45 km before repeating exactly the previous failure. When testing for spark the first few times could get spark with coil wire near ground, would plug back into distributor and run rough for a few seconds and then quit and no spark. It will no longer even do this now. Have tested the coil on tester and it produces a good spark. One thing I can't find is the noise suppressor on the hotside of the coil. wiring diagrams indicate it is spliced in separate from the coil and supposedly on the LH frt strut tower. Any help appreciated. Mike Spencer
