I have found with any lab scope of looking at high frequency signals that they will alias. What I do is look at a section at a time. I find that if a vehicle has sequential fuel injection, I use the injector as a trigger and simply move around to all injectors. This allows me to look at 360 degrees of the complete signal. The setting that you were using will actualy look at over 360 degrees of the crank. In the above example you would be looking at aproximately 60 degrees at a time. Remeber more is not better.
