Hi Andy, When you checked the timing of the engine did you check the cam to crank relationionship in-case a dowel or key has slipped. Since the vehicle is not pinging with 30 more degrees of advance..it sure seems to be a mechanical crank to cam relationship. Can you give us anymore info? idle quality,gas readings ect.
