I had been working on a 1992 geo metro that has no power.It felt like plugged fuel filter or plugged exhaust.I checked fuel filter, exhaust for restriction, base timing and timing curve: all checked out fine.I continued to scope the vehicle, do a 4 gas analysis, and inspect fuel pressure, flow and quality: all was fine. I then advanced the timing as far as the distributor would turn and the vehicle had better power and did not ping. I then proceeded to check tdc and valve train timing which was good. The car is now driving on the road with a base timing of 30 degrees with limited power. Input is very much appreciated to find the missing power.
