ADVANCED IGNITION SYSTEMS LEVEL I

I benefited most from the explanation of DIS and COPS systems. Current
ramping is excellent. The quality of instruction was great. I would highly
recommend this course.

Dave's interpretation and explanation of Ignition Diagnostics took everything
that my boss has been trying to teach me in an old school fashion and put it
into real world, up to date diagnostics using a lab scope. He made everything
that I have been looking at make sense, changing from scope to handheld. The
most valuable section would be current ramping coils- Brilliant!

Dave Foreman Auto Repairs, Langley

I benefited most in fast diagnosing of ignition related problems especially
on DIS and COP systems.
Keep more courses coming!
Jack Finch, Norlang Automotive, Langley

Showed me how to make diagnosing easier, a better approach to beginning the
diagnosis. Also a better fundamental understanding of what I'm really looking at
on the scope. Instruction was clear, concise and very helpful. I have already
recommended this course to others.
Stephan Westbroek
A-Pro Mechanical, Langley

Knowledge of testing different systems. The ease of testing for ignition
problems or engine problems in the fastest way possible. Definitely would
recommend this course to others. Instruction was very good using real case
studies.
Kevin Sjolie

I have a better understand of DIS and waste spark systems and a clearer sense
of how to diagnose them properly. Instructor was very helpful with use and set
up of scope for ignition wave forms. I would recommend this course to anyone
interested in becoming a more efficient Technician.

field. Well researched and professionally presented. Can't wait for Level 2.

What an excellent course!! Nothing I would change. Well worth the money. I
would definitely recommend this course to anyone in the Automotive Trade.
Thomas Hill

Dave's ignition course started with the basics of ignition theory and this
theory was explained in an easy to understand, yet detailed manner. More
importantly was the focus of how to apply this theory to practical diagnostics
that can be used every day to quickly pinpoint the problem area and determine
the cause. Excellent instruction. I would recommend this course to anyone who is
even thinking about looking at ignition patterns. Find out what you're
"missing".
Jamie Fraser

Excellent Course!! Information presented very well. It is a whole new
learning process.

The most benefit was derived from ignition system testing using the vantage.
Quality of instruction was great. I would recommend this course. One of the most
difficult courses I've taken. Hard to grasp many new ways of looking at
Ignition.

I can't believe what I have learned in this course. I have already used some
of these techniques to sell and diagnose work. Awesome course! Instruction was
top notch. I can't say enough about it. Only thing I would change maybe is one
more day dedicated only to shop time with various cars etc to play with.

I myself benefited from the use of the tools (Lab Scope). How to hook up
properly and set parameters. I am now able to understand wave patterns and make
use of them. Quality of instruction was very good - relates well with the Techs.
I would recommend this course to others in the trade.

The depth of information provided and the " cause and effect"

The quality of instruction was excellent and I benefited much out of the
course that I didn't know. I would highly recommend this course to anyone
desiring a more in-depth understanding of secondary ignition systems. I learned
how to save time in the field and accurately assess ignition problems through
proper diagnostic procedures.

This course has given me a better understanding of OBD II system theory and
application. Dave has shown me a lot of what I don't understand. I
recommend this course to anyone in the field.
Parts of these courses should apply to service writers and service managers
to better explain to customers.

This type of hands on training is a must. Reading through a book or hearing
someone tell you what to do without seeing it done just doesn't work. This
course was very well taught and can be applied to and replace the way we
diagnose today's vehicles.
Roy Long,

April 3, 2004

Gave a more realistic view of what is covered on OBD II vehicles. That not
all are true OBD II. Gave us more knowledge of how to better use the scanner. Knowledgeable
Instructor with up to date real life experience.

I like the way we were taught from real world vehicles. Looking at proper
KV's is going to be a huge help for me. More and more with help and seeing
others. I'm getting comfortable with my Vantage.

Amazingly I now understand a lot more about secondary and primary patterns.
Nice to get deeper into the Vantage. Dave is very knowledgeable and has an
interesting way of putting it all across. I found it difficult sometimes to sort
out the " wrong Information " from the correct. It's difficult to
admit that as a student I still don't know my way around the Vantage very well.
