EMISSIONS TROUBLE-SHOOTING THROUGH 5 GAS ANALYSIS LEVEL II

This course is designed for the more advanced emission diagnostic
technician. A comprehensive course manual with over 80 pages of diagnostic
procedures and information.

This course is centred around individual IM-240
failure case-studies and takes you through each step of the diagnostic
process from beginning to end. Diagnostic strategies will be discussed in
detail.

This course will cover in detail how to use the
IM-240 Trace report, and how to use gr/km readings compared to the shop
gas-analyzer.
|
 |
We will also cover several different diagnostic methods
covering more difficult cases such as when the vehicle shows
"zeros" in the shop, but still fails a retest.

 |
The student will learn how to make their own graphs to convert
from g/km to percent and parts per million. Detailed Discussion will include
the use of reading and interpreting graphs for diagnostics. |

Course prerequisites:
Student must have completed level 1- 5 gas analysis course or equivalent.
