Event Title: Scan Tool Driveability Techniques
Tuesday, November 16, 2010
|
|
This course will introduce the Student to leading diagnostic techniques using a Scan tool to diagnose drivability problems. Techniques will focus on choosing and analysing PIDS for intermittent misfires. Codes p171 and p174. Scan Tool diagnostics for lack of power and hesitations. Scan tool diagnostics for rough running. The scan tool is a powerful tool for diagnostic direction when understanding which PIDS to choose and how to interpret and compare data in graphing mode. You as a Drivability technician or an up and coming diagnostic tech do not not want to miss this informative course.

Event Title: Advanced Ignition Diagnostics
Tuesday, November 16, 2010
Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM PST
|
|
This course will be the first in a of trouble-shooting Ignition systems. A generic approach will be taken for understanding Ignition systems on all makes and models.
Course content covers distributor systems, distributorless systems and coil over plug. The attendee will evaluate and determine driveability problems that relate to the Ignition system.
The course will detail Secondary patterns, diagnostics for secondary breakdown on COP and DIS systems. Secondary waveforms will be evaluated to determine circuit integrity and diagnostic approaches for driveability .
Hands-on will cover proper set-up and waveform analysis of Ignition / Lab Scope.
