In this course, the technician will:
Discuss lab scope types. Discuss lab scope operation and advantages over voltage.Determine voltage scales. Determine time base settings. Discuss trigger level operation. Determine appropriate trigger levels. Discuss and determine trigger slopes. Recognize different types of electrical signals and proper setup. Discuss and analyze characteristics of signals. Determine proper setup of signals using sync signals. Analyze solenoid circuits including fuel injectors. Analyze O2 sensor circuits and characteristics. Perform Dual Trace setup. Determine trigger for Dual Trace. Perform signal storage and analyze signals for proper operation.
The technician will determine proper Lab scope setup and analyze wave forms for signal interpretation.
This course will enable technicians to perform all functions related to a Lab scope.
Lab scope Systems Training is a course designed to teach the technician proper scope setup and wave form analysis. This course goes beyond learning key function and enable the technician to have a strong working knowledge of diagnostics performed with a digital Lab scope.
Classroom time is spent learning the different categories of electronic signals and determining common failure of these circuits.
Hands-on time is spent in the shop hooking up to vehicles and practicing diagnostic procedures related to the Lab scope. The technician will perform proper setup of the Lab scope and wave form analysis
